Some of my favorite painting locations are the old
fishing harbors of Gloucester and Rockport, Massachusetts.
My first “plein air” painting trip to Gloucester was the summer of 1996.
Gloucester harbor was a real fishing harbor – old wooden boats and old buildings.
Many of these old boats and buildings have since disappeared, but I still can find subject matter, and the sights and sounds and smells of a harbor are something I really enjoy.
