This is one of CW’s  favorite locations to paint in Indianapolis, the Central Canal or the  Broad Ripple Canal.  Building the canal began in 1837 and was disbanded in 1839. It was to connect rivers and canals in Indiana and Ohio, but the project was never finished due to lack of finances and the emergence of the railroad.

CW is painting a 24×30 oil painting  on location along the Broad Ripple Canal.
